Jan '01, ORANGE, CA - Founded on a proven CHAD assembly platform, the new CHAD Seal Plug Insertion System can be configured with single or multiple high-speed insertion heads to handle a variety of seal plugs while providing mis-insertion sensing. An integrated vision system provides product location and inspection capabilities, while the motorized conveyor with gating feature provides capability to queue multiple connectors and allow only a single connector to enter the assembly area at a time. Combined with an ergonomically designed workbench, which features easily accessible fixture storage racks and LED indicators to assist the operator, CHAD provides a turnkey solution for profitable wire harness assembly.

Other features on this system include a user-friendly Adept AIM front end for ease of operation and programming, handheld and integrated bar code scanners for connector ID, a thermal transfer label printer, and a laser printer.
